Referees and coaches are important - show them respect.
Encourage others to play and enjoy rugby
Enjoy rugby, have fun and improve your skills
Do not lose your temper, use foul play -
Or take unfair advantage of another player
No bullying or foul play
In rugby, good play should be applauded, for either side
Always play as a team
Never argue with the referee
Showing off is not acceptable - good sportsmen do not show off
Do not force an unwilling child to participate in rugby
Encourage respect for referees and visiting teams.
Do not question the referee's decisions.
Children learn best by example.
Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposing team.
Encourage your child always to play by the Laws of the Game.
Never ridicule or scold a child for making a mistake in a game.
Shouting does not help.
Teach your child that honest effort is as important as victory so that defeats is accepted without undue disappointment.
Recognise the value and importance of volunteer coaches and referees.
They give their time and resources to provide rugby for your child.
Remember that children play rugby for their own fun.
Instill in your child an understanding and enjoyment for being a team member, not an individual.
