We are a committed group of players and parents led by Chris Derham. Chris have been working with the group for the last 3 years and we have a regular coaching team of 6-9 parents as well as a broader group who can be relied upon to help out every weekend. All of our coaches are continuing the development of their own coaching skills making use of the regular RFU courses that are run in the area, and we have a number who are also qualified referees.
In common with rest of the club our focus is on helping our players learn how to play the game of rugby in a safe, fun and respectful environment. To achieve this we train every Sunday and occasionally on a mid-week evening. We have more than 35 regular players of all abilities and more are always welcome. Each week at the end of our practice sessions we recognise players who have shown particular skill determination or effort in learning with our "boomerang" trophies which they bring back the following week. If you are interested in learning to play rugby in a safe, fun environment, and join our happy band on a Sunday morning.
From time to time we train with other local clubs to learn from each other and we compete regularly in festivals at all levels of ability. So far this year we have fielded teams at A, B and C level, with every registered player having the opportunity to play and represent the club and enjoy the spirit of fair competition that is such an essential part of the game. Practice is from 09:30 - 11:30 am.

During peak season we tend to join in the activities of the wider club.
Towards the end of the season we try to get the coaches and parents together to celebrate and reminisce on the highs and lows of the year, and look forward to a summer of touch rugby on Friday nights to keep ourselves sharp.
