Objectives

Under 11 objectives for the 2010 / 2011 season:

Teach children the skill to play contact rugby in a safe and fun manner
Maintain core rugby ethos of etiquette and sportsmanship
Show respect for fellow players, coaches and parents of Reeds Weybridge and all other clubs
To win a festival at 'A' and 'B' level
Allow every child to experience Festival rugby
Make the parents feel involved

We have a thriving environment where the children learn the skills of how to play rugby and of being part of a team, all coached in a dynamic, progressive and fun manner. Safety is of course of paramount importance, and all of our coaching team are CRB checked, experienced in working with children and four have attained the RFU level 1 coaching standard.

Each Sunday we have up to 45 boys and girls attending training, from 12 local schools. This is a great way for the children to mix and make friends with a wide group of their peers. Everyone, whether experienced or not, is welcome at Reeds so please bring your children along. We guarantee that every child in the under 11’s will represent the club at a festival during the year.

We practice every Sunday morning during the season which runs from the first weekend in September to the last weekend in April.

Training sessions are varied but tend to include a warm up, drill/skills rotations, matches and a wrap up with feedback and news.

We practice every Sunday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, during the season which runs from the first weekend in September to the last weekend in April. We do however take weather conditions into account and will also gauge the mood of the children.

Highly successful rugby tour which was a first time experience for all the children and many of the parents. Hosted by a very welcoming and gracious Worthing on the Saturday and Pulborough on the Sunday.

October 2010 is the month in the club rota for the U11s to run the tuck shop. Please volunteer if you can otherwise we’ll be “choosing” the volunteers.
